Buying A Music Keyboard

Nowadays, no one but the wealthy and serious concert players buy pianos anymore. Music keyboards have simply gotten too good to resist. Keyboard music is more versatile and interesting than ever, and the possibilities will only continue to grow. Buying a music keyboard is not an easy thing, however. With all of the dazzling features, differing technologies, and impressive layouts, it can be difficult to pick out what you need. Without the guidance of an expert, you could end up with something not suitable for your purposes.

When I bought my first musical keyboard, I didn't really have a clue. I knew that I wanted to be in a rock band, but I didn't really understand what that entailed. The music keyboard that I bought was pretty good in some respects. It was a midi keyboard that was excellent for composing. The problem was that it didn't have a lot of built-in effects. It was a sort of home workstation keyboard, not a performance one. More on Buying A Music Keyboard

Finding A Cheap Electric Guitar

Most of us never progress from playing air guitar behind closed doors. Some more determined people strive to make the rock and roll dream come true. Budget is often an issue when starting out and finding a cheap electric guitar is the answer. There are plenty available, both new and in the used market. Of course, there are the accessories to buy too and the all-important amplifier.

Firstly, look at your neighborhood and circle of friends. Someone may be looking to upgrade and they may want to sell their guitar. Also, have a look in the classified advertisements. There is usually a section for musical instruments. Go down to the local music stores. They sometimes have cheap electric guitars for sale and some of them place adverts in the window for second hand guitars for sale. More on Finding A Cheap Electric Guitar

Learning To Play Bass Guitar

Learning to play any instrument is hard, but some people have a natural aptitude towards music and rhythm. People choose instruments based on what they like, and it usually says something about their personality. Though most start out with orchestra type instruments in school, some go the way of the rock or country band. Some say that drummers are a just a little crazy, and that is why they love to play the drums. Sometimes, the most mysterious member of any group is the bass guitar player.

The bass guitar is an essential part of any band, but most do not take much notice of it. This is because the sound does not stick out like a guitar, the vocals, or the drums. You may never hear a note, but you would notice a huge difference if the bass guitar was absent. This fills in the lows that are needed to give a band the full sound that most recognize as the essentials to a good sound and good song. There are some that play solos, but most bassists are the more inconspicuous members of any band. More on Learning To Play Bass Guitar

American Idol Auditions

With new auditions for American Idol being held in Seattle , a lot of my friends around here are thinking about whether or not they have a chance. It is amazing how many people have secret dreams of making it big. Although American Idol auditions might seem like sort of a long shot, there is still nothing to lose. My friend Kara – a local singer-songwriter – figures that the best thing to do is to simply treat it as another tryout. Even if Simon is cruel and the audition goes poorly, it will not mean the end of her career. And if, on the other hand, she makes it on to the show, it could be quite a big break. When you get down to it, there is no way to know until you give it a try.

I would not have gone out for American Idol auditions myself if not for the fact that I have had a lot of music auditions before, and even a few gigs. You see, an American Idol audition is probably one of the most stressful tryouts that you could have. You audition on a nationally-televised program in front of some pretty tough judges. Just a normal audition is hard enough, but this kind of tryout is positively nerve-wracking. More on American Idol Auditions
